open source. You can find lots more information about it on the CDex
Site. There you will also find the latest versions + updates. It's free.

Q. Do you have the instruction manual in Spanish?
Where can I get a general description of the MP328 in Spanish?
Sorry, the instructions are in English only. You can find a description of the
MP328 MP3 player in Spanish here.
Q. I've lost my user guide.
Where can I get another one?
A. You can download it as a PDF file by clicking here
Q. Can you record your voice? Does it have an
incorporated mic?
A. Yes it can record about 250 minutes of voice. Yes it has
a microphone on the front.
Q. Can the I use rechargeable batteries in the
player?
A. You can but the player will not recharge them. You will
need your own separate charger.
Q. How do I attach the necklace earphones to
the player?
A. Pass the small black loop through the ring at the top
end of the player. You can use a matchstick or such
like to thread it through. Put both ends of the
black string in the silver coloured hook and close the hook
Q. What is an AAA battery?
A. Triple A or AAA batteries are 1.5Volt and are also know
as: micro, LR03/R03 or AM4/UM4N. Their diameter is
10.5mm and length 44.5mm. Typical weight is 11g.
Q. Can I add memory to the MP328? Does it have
a memory slot?
A. No. The memory is built-in. The player does not have a memory expansion
slot. It cannot take MMC or SMC cards.
Q. Will this player work with Macintosh?
A. Sorry no, unless you know of software for Mac that
will support this device.
Q. When I run CDex it says that it cannot find
wnaspi32?
A. WNASPI32 is an audio codec that normally comes with CD
writer/burner software. If you have a CD writer then
you should also have a wnaspi codec somewhere on
your PC. It might not be in the directory that CDex expects
it to be in so you should find it and copy it to your Windows System
directory. CDex expects WNASPI32.DLL to be in your Windows System
directory.
For example: Nero Burning ROM v5 on Windows 2000:
The Nero installation places the wnaspi32 dll in the Nero
directory (Program Files/ahead/Nero) which is
OK for NERO but not for CDex. Copy it to the WINNT/System32 directory
and restart CDex.
The Truly installation CD has a copy of Adaptec's ASPI manager on it in case you don't have your own.
Take the following steps to install the ADAPTEC ASPI files on your PC:
1 - Go to the C:\Program Files\Truly\CDex 2.0\Aspi32 directory
2 - Copy aspi32.sys to the C:\WINNT\system32\drivers directory
3 - Copy these three files to the C:\WINNT\system directory
winaspi.dll
wnaspi32.dll
wowpost.exe
4 - Run aspi32.exe (this program is in the C:\program Files\Truly\CDex 2.0\Aspi32
directory)
5 - Restart your PC and CDex should now be OK
Q. Can I use my own Earphones instead of the
necklace ones?
A. Of course as long as the connector is the right size.
Q. How do the player and the PC communicate with each other?
A. The connection between the player and the PC is USB.
Your PC should have a USB port. Windows 95/98/2000 and ME computers already have a USB software driver installed.
The first time you connect the MP3 player to your computer's USB port Windows will take you through it's
'Found New Hardware' procedure, The USB drivers, usb.inf and usb.pnf, should be in the C:\WINNT\inf
directory. During the 'Add/Remove Hardware' process let the wizard find these files by itself.
After that, whenever you connect the player to the PC, the PC can see it as a USB device
automatically. Then you use the Truly MP3 'Music Manager' program (which is on the Truly MP328 installation
CD) to move files to and from the player.
Q. Can I attach it to Hi-Fi speakers to play music?
A. Yes. You can in principle attach anything as long as the connector
fits the MP328 audio outlet.
Q. Can I use it while jogging?
A. Of course, as long as you can find a suitable place to attach it securely.
Unlike a CD player the MP328 is not affected by shock and will continue to play normally even when bounced around.
